VALPES ER PLUS Electric Quarter-Turn Actuator

The VALPES ER PLUS is an electric actuator designed for quarter-turn (1/4 turn) operation of ball valves, butterfly valves, and plug valves. It covers nominal torque ratings of 10, 20, 35, 60, and 100 Nm and is suitable for on-off or 3-point control where 90° electric rotation is required without instrument air.

Construction and Valve Mounting

Enclosure is PA6 UL94 V-0 with 25% glass fibre, with stainless steel 304L or galvanized steel fasteners. Mounting per ISO 5211 with removable plates: F03-F04-F05 for ER10–ER35, F05-F07 for ER35–ER100. Mechanical stops 90° ±5°, manual override, and visual position indicator included.

Control and Options

Available options:

  • BBPR: Battery-powered fail-safe return.
  • POSI: Analog control 0–10 V, 0–20 mA, 4–20 mA with feedback.
  • 3 positions: Intermediate position control.
  • Bluetooth / AXMART and Modbus-RTU communication.
  • 4 adjustable limit switches (5 A), fault relay, RS485, electronic torque limiter.

Applications

Suitable for small to medium valves in water, air, HVAC, water treatment, utility networks, and basic process lines. Media compatibility is determined by the valve; actuator selection is based on torque, 90° time, available voltage, duty cycle, and required feedback.

When the valve must follow an analog command from PLC or BMS.

What is checked during maintenance?
Cable glands, IP66 sealing, limit switches, mechanical stops, position indicator, torque limiter, and correct torque selection for the valve.
