TTV Metal-Metal High-Demand Butterfly Valve

The TTV Metal-Metal is a wafer-type butterfly valve designed for high-temperature applications where 100% tightness is not required. The metal seat does not function like an elastomeric liner; technical documentation indicates a leakage range of 0.5–1% and tightness of approximately 99%, thus it should not be selected as a zero-leakage shut-off valve.

Pressure and Temperature

The manual specifies a maximum body pressure of 30 bar and a typical temperature range of -10 to +350 °C. For operation above 200 °C, a heat sink arrangement is recommended. Selection should be based on design temperature, medium, differential pressure, and acceptable leakage rate.

Installation and Operation

Unlike soft-seated butterfly valves, appropriate gaskets are required between the valve and flanges, compatible with temperature and fluid. The flow is bidirectional, with no specific installation direction required. For DN450 and above, it is recommended to install the shaft horizontally.

Actuation

Accepts manual handle, gearbox, pneumatic, electric, or hydraulic actuator via ISO 5211. Actuator selection is based on DN, temperature, ΔP, operating torque, and required actuation frequency.

Applications

Suitable for high-temperature, hot gas, and corrosive gas installations where minor leakage is acceptable. Not suitable for applications requiring complete isolation without leakage.
