TTV Double Flanged Butterfly Valve

The TTV double flanged butterfly valve is a concentric valve with an elastomeric liner, designed for flow isolation in industrial pipelines requiring a fully flanged connection. The body is specified as EN-GJL-250, with options for PN10 / PN16 and drilling standards DIN or ANSI.

Standards and Operating Limits

  • Range: DN32–DN2000, with flanged dimensions starting from DN50 in tables.
  • Face-to-face: EN 558 Series 13 / ISO 5752 Series 13 / API 609 / EN 593.
  • Connection: PN10/PN16 or ANSI Class 150.
  • Flanges: ISO 7005, DIN 2501, BS 4504, ANSI B16.5.
  • Top Flange: ISO 5211.
  • Testing: ISO 5208, zero leakage per API 598.
  • Operating Pressure: up to 20 bar DN32–DN600, up to 16 bar for DN >600.

Seat and Temperature

Liner selection determines temperature and fluid compatibility:

  • EPDM: -20 to +110 °C
  • EPDM HT: -20 to +130 °C
  • Silicone: -40 to +150 °C
  • FKM / Viton: -5 to +180 °C
  • NBR / Hypalon: -10 to +90 °C

EPDM is typically used for water and HVAC. NBR is considered for oils or non-aromatic hydrocarbons. FKM is selected for higher temperature or chemical requirements, always with compatibility checks.

Handling and Actuation

Available with hand lever, gearbox, double-acting pneumatic actuator, spring return, electric or hydraulic actuator. Selection depends on DN, differential pressure, seat material, and required torque.

Applications

Suitable for process water, potable water, irrigation, seawater, wastewater, fire protection, cooling towers, HVAC, compressed air, chemicals, and general industrial lines, provided materials, pressure, and temperature are verified.

FAQ

When to choose double flanged over wafer/lug?
When a flanged body with greater mechanical rigidity or specified face-to-face Series 13 is required.

Is it a control valve?
No. It can be used for limited throttling, with control over Kv, ΔP, velocity, noise, and liner wear.
