The Neway double-offset butterfly valve is engineered for high-performance flow isolation in pipelines where a simple concentric butterfly valve is insufficient due to pressure, temperature, or operational cycles. The double offset design shifts the axis relative to the seat center and the sealing axis, reducing disc-seat friction during opening/closing.
The series includes PTFE/RPTFE seat, fire-safe PTFE seat, and rubber seat. The spherical disc geometry reduces contact area with the seat, thus lowering operational torque. The seat is replaceable or repairable, beneficial for units with scheduled maintenance.
The valve features ISO 5211 top flange, double blow-out proof stem design per API 609, and disc-seat sealing tested hydrostatically or with air per API 598.
Suitable for petrochemical plants, refineries, offshore platforms, power plants, LNG, steel mills, pulp & paper, and hydrocarbon processing. Selection should be based on DN, pressure class, temperature, seat material, differential pressure, required torque, and fluid compatibility.
When to choose over concentric butterfly valve?
For higher pressures, more frequent operational cycles, or when lower seat wear is required.
Is it a throttling valve?
It can be used for throttling, but Cv/Kv, ΔP, cavitation, noise, and actuator torque must be considered.
