ARI-ZIVA®-G Lug Butterfly Valve

The ARI-ZIVA®-G is a soft-sealing lug-type butterfly valve with threaded lugs on the body. It is used for isolation or flow restriction of liquids and gases in industrial networks, water circuits, HVAC, air, inert gases, and general utility applications. The lug design allows for use as a pipe-end valve and disconnection of one side of the pipeline.

Seats and Temperature Limits

Seat selection should be based on medium, temperature, and chemical compatibility:

  • EPDM: -10 to +130 °C, for water, HVAC, and potable water with DVGW.
  • NBR black: -10 to +80 °C, with DVGW for gas, operational range -10 to +60 °C.
  • NBR white: -10 to +80 °C, for food contact per EG/1935/2004.
  • FPM: 0 to +150 °C, for selected chemicals or oily media; not for hot water.

Pressure Limits and Installation

Maximum differential pressure is 16 bar for DN25–150 and 10 bar for DN200–600. For NBR white, the limit is 10 bar up to DN200. Installation is between flanges EN 1092-1; for end-of-line use, a safety measure such as a blind flange is required, and for seat tightness, a blind or counter flange is necessary.

Actuation

Available with notched lever, locking lever, gearbox, electric actuator ARI-OM / Deufra / Auma, or pneumatic actuator AIR-TORQUE, double or single acting. For automation, consider torque, operation frequency, fail-open/fail-close position, and available air pressure.

ZIVA-G vs. ZIVA-Z

ZIVA-Z is wafer with elongated holes. ZIVA-G is lug with threaded lugs, suitable when line section disconnection or pipe-end operation is required.
