Butterfly Valve Lug Comeval UNIWAT VF750

The UNIWAT VF750 is a concentric lug-type butterfly valve with a soft seat and bidirectional sealing. It is primarily intended for flow isolation in HVAC systems, water networks, process lines, compressed air, neutral gases, and lubrication circuits. It offers limited throttling capability but is not designed for continuous control valve operation without Kv, differential pressure, and opening angle control.

Standards and Operating Limits

  • Design: EN 593, EN 12516, DIN 3840.
  • Face-to-face: EN 558 Series 20 / DIN 3202 K1.
  • Connection: lug between flanges EN 1092-1/2 PN10/PN16.
  • Pressure: PN16 DN25–DN300, PN10 DN350–DN1200, with PN16 available for larger DN where applicable.
  • For PTFE seat: PN10 DN40–DN600.
  • Testing: EN 12266-1, leakage Rate A.
  • Top flange: ISO 5211 for actuator.

Materials and Seats

The body is available in EN-JL1040 cast iron, EN-JS1030 ductile iron, CF8M stainless steel, or WCB steel. Discs include ductile iron nickel plated, CF8M, aluminum bronze, and 904L. Seats: NBR, EPDM, Viton, Silicone, Hypalon, and fluoropolymer options FEP/PFA per version.

Lug vs. Wafer

The VF750 is chosen over the VF700 when a body with lugs and independent bolting per flange is required. This allows disconnection of one side of the piping without disturbing the other. In dead-end service, lug butterfly valves typically have reduced pressure ratings, so confirmation per DN and pressure is necessary.

Operation

Available with lever, gearbox, bare shaft, pneumatic, or electric actuator. For DN >200, a gearbox is usually considered due to handling torque.
