TTV Lug Butterfly Valve

The TTV lug is a concentric butterfly valve with an elastomer liner, designed for flow isolation in water networks, process water, wastewater, seawater, fire-fighting, cooling towers, HVAC, and general industrial lines. The lug construction allows for bolted support per flange and is chosen when better mechanical retention is required compared to the simple wafer version. For end-of-line use, confirmation from the manufacturer is necessary.

Technical Specifications

  • Range: DN32–DN2000.
  • Body: EN-GJL-250.
  • Flanges: PN10/PN16 and ANSI Class 150.
  • Face-to-face: EN 558 Series 20 / ISO 5752 Series 20 / API 609.
  • Top Flange: ISO 5211.
  • Testing: ISO 5208, tightness per API 598.
  • Coating: Rilsan®.
  • Operating Pressure: up to 20 bar for DN32–DN600, up to 16 bar for DN >600.

Seats and Temperature

Liner selection determines temperature and media compatibility:

  • EPDM: -20 to +110 °C, water and neutral fluids.
  • EPDM HT: up to +130 °C.
  • NBR / Hypalon: -10 to +90 °C.
  • Viton: -5 to +180 °C.
  • Silicone: -40 to +150 °C.

Actuation

Available with handle, gearbox, pneumatic actuator double acting, spring return, electric or hydraulic actuator. Actuator selection is based on DN, differential pressure, seat material, and required torque.

Installation

No additional gasket is placed between the valve and flanges, as the elastomer liner acts as a seal. An open/close test is recommended at least annually, with elastomer wetting before operation.

FAQ

When to choose lug over wafer?
When bolted retention on the valve body or potential isolation of a pipeline section is required.

Is it a control valve?
No. It can perform limited throttling, with control over Kv, velocity, noise, and seat wear.
