ARI-ZEDOX® 123 Double Eccentric Butterfly Valve

The ARI-ZEDOX® 123 is a high-performance double eccentric butterfly valve with a flanged connection type thread connection / threaded holes. It is designed for isolation in industrial liquid, gas, and steam lines where compact construction length and mechanical strength greater than a conventional soft-seated butterfly valve are required.

Seat and Sealing

The ZEDOX 123 is available with two primary sealing versions:

  • PTFE+C / TS: -40 to +180 °C, leakage rate A per EN 12266-1. Suitable for tight shut-off, with clear differential pressure limitations at high temperatures.
  • Stainless steel / CS: -40 to +260 °C, leakage rate B per EN 12266-1. Used in steam, thermal circuits, and applications with higher thermal stress.

Operating Limits

The maximum differential pressure depends on DN, PN, pressure side, and seat type. The PTFE+C version has a limit up to 25 bar at lower temperatures, but significantly decreases above 150 °C. The metal seat allows higher loads, with bidirectional operation up to 25 bar in specific sizes.

Actuation

Available with lever, gearbox, electric actuator Auma, pneumatic actuator, or hydraulic actuator upon request. For steam applications, the manufacturer recommends using a larger actuator size for torque sizing.

Difference from ZEDOX 120 / 122

ZEDOX 120 is wafer. ZEDOX 122 is double flanged. ZEDOX 123 uses threaded hole connections, a useful choice when mechanical retention type lug/threaded connection is required.

Typical Applications

Steam, condensates, process water, industrial gases, thermal networks, energy, chemical installations, and isolation lines with higher sealing or temperature requirements.
