ARI-ZIVA®-Z Wafer Butterfly Valve

The ARI-ZIVA®-Z is a soft-sealing wafer-type butterfly valve designed for installation between DIN EN 1092-1 flanges. It is primarily intended for line isolation and simple on/off operation in industrial water networks, HVAC, compressed air, natural gas, and auxiliary supplies.

Seats and Temperatures

Elastomer selection should be based on media, temperature, and chemical compatibility.

  • EPDM: -10 to +130 °C, suitable for water, hot/cold water, and potable water with DVGW.
  • NBR black: -10 to +80 °C, DVGW registration available for gas, operational range -10 to +60 °C.
  • NBR white: for food contact applications, according to EG/1935/2004.
  • FPM: 0 to +150 °C, for selected chemicals or oily media; not recommended for hot water.

Operating Limits

Maximum differential pressure is 16 bar for DN25–150 and 10 bar for DN200–600. For NBR white seat, a limit of 10 bar applies up to DN300. Selection should consider not only the flange PN but also differential pressure, temperature, and fluid.

Actuation

Available with notched lever, locking lever, gearbox, electric actuator ARI-OM / Deufra / Auma, or pneumatic actuator double or single acting. Selection is based on torque, handling frequency, and automation requirements.

FAQ

Is it a control valve?
Not in the sense of a precise control valve. It is mainly used for isolation or limited throttling.

How does it differ from the ZIVA-G?
The ZIVA-Z is wafer. The ZIVA-G is lug, with threaded holes, also suitable as an end-of-line valve.
