TTV Wafer Butterfly Valve

The TTV wafer is a central disc butterfly valve designed for flow isolation in water, air, auxiliary fluids, and industrial applications. Installation is between PN10/PN16 or ANSI Class 150 flanges, with face-to-face dimensions per EN 558 Series 20 / ISO 5752 Series 20 / API 609 and top flange ISO 5211 for manual or automated operation.

Technical Specifications

  • Size Range: DN32–DN2000.
  • Operating Pressure: up to 20 bar for DN32–DN600, up to 16 bar for larger diameters.
  • Testing: ISO 5208, zero leakage, API 598.
  • Body Coating: Rilsan® / epoxy.
  • Flow: bidirectional, no specific installation direction required.

Materials and Seats

Product page specifies body EN-GJL-250 and nominal pressures PN10 / PN16. Seat selection is based on medium and temperature:

  • EPDM: water, seawater, salts, dilute alkaline solutions, -20 to +110 °C.
  • High-Temperature EPDM: water up to +130 °C.
  • NBR: oils, gases, and non-aromatic hydrocarbons, -10 to +90 °C.
  • FKM/Viton: certain fuels, oils, and chemicals, -5 to +180 °C.
  • Silicone: low/high temperature applications, -40 to +150 °C.

Handling and Automation

The valve can be delivered with a hand lever, gearbox, double-acting pneumatic actuator, pneumatic spring return, electric or hydraulic actuator. ISO 5211 connection allows actuator selection based on torque, DN, pressure, and seat type.

Installation and Maintenance

In concentric valves with elastomeric liner, no additional sealing gasket is required between valve and piping, as the liner acts as a gasket. For DN450 and above, horizontal shaft installation is recommended. Periodic open/close testing helps prevent elastomer sticking.

FAQ

Is it suitable for throttling?
Only for limited throttling. Continuous control requires Kv, differential pressure, torque, and potential cavitation assessment.

Where is it used?
Water supply, irrigation, process water, wastewater, fire-fighting, cooling towers, HVAC, compressed air, and general industrial lines.
