Comeval UNIWAT VF700 Wafer Butterfly Valve

The Comeval UNIWAT VF700 is a concentric wafer-type butterfly valve with a soft seat, designed for bidirectional flow and primarily used for isolation. It can be used for limited throttling but does not replace a control valve for continuous flow regulation. Suitable for HVAC, water supply, process water, air, gases, and lubricant circuits.

Standards and Operating Limits

  • DN25–DN1200, depending on configuration.
  • Design: EN 593.
  • Face-to-face: EN 558 Series 20 / DIN 3202 K1.
  • Connection: wafer between flanges EN 1092 PN10/PN16 and ASME B16.5 Class 150.
  • Pressure: PN16 for DN25–DN300, PN10 for DN350–DN600; for PTFE seat PN10.
  • Pressure test: EN 12266-1.
  • Seat leakage: Rate A.
  • Top flange: ISO 5211 for automation.

Materials and Sealing

Available with body in EN-JL1040 cast iron, EN-JS1030 ductile iron, CF8M stainless steel, or WCB steel. Disc options include ductile iron nickel plated, CF8M, aluminum bronze, and 904L. Seats available in NBR, EPDM, Viton, Silicone, PTFE, and Hypalon, selected based on media, temperature, and chemical compatibility.

Indicative temperature limits for liners:

  • NBR: up to 80 °C.
  • EPDM: up to 110 °C, with short peak 130 °C.
  • Viton: up to 150 °C, with short peak 180 °C.
  • Silicone: up to 170 °C, with short peak 190 °C.
  • PTFE: up to 110 °C, with short peak 120 °C.

Handling and Automation

The VF700 can be delivered with a hand lever, gearbox, pneumatic, or electric actuator. Actuator selection depends on DN, differential pressure, seat material, and required operating torque.
