VALPES DV / DVX ATEX Electric Quarter-Turn Actuator

VALPES DV / DVX actuators are electric quarter-turn units for ball valves, butterfly valves, and plug valves. The DVX series is specified for applications requiring DNV-GL and ATEX compliance, typically in shipbuilding, marine, and industrial installations with hazardous (explosive) atmospheres. DVX torque range: 25–300 Nm.

DVX is marked II 2 G D Ex db IIB T6 Gb / Ex tb IIIC T80°C Db, LCIE 06 ATEX 6006X. IECEx certification covers DVX25, DVX45, DVX75, DVX100, DVX150, DVX300. Installation requires certified Ex cable glands and blanking elements per zone.

Control and Feedback

Standard operation: on-off or 3-point modulating. Options include:

  • POSI: analog control 0–10 V or 4–20 mA.
  • BBPR: battery-powered position return.
  • 3 positions: intermediate position control.
  • Modbus-RTU / RS485.
  • Feedback: potentiometer, transmitter 0–20 mA / 4–20 mA / 0–10 V, or additional limit switches.

Applications

Used for isolation valves in marine systems, fuel handling, ship auxiliary networks, chemical plants, tanks, water, air, and industrial gases. Media compatibility is determined by the valve; actuator selection is based on torque, ATEX zone, duty cycle, voltage, and required feedback.
