Double Flanged Butterfly Valve Comeval UNIWAT VF790

The UNIWAT VF790 is a concentric double flanged butterfly valve with a soft seat and bidirectional sealing. Primarily used for isolation in water networks, HVAC, process fluids, neutral gases, lubrication, and compressed air. It offers limited throttling capability but should not be selected as a control valve without verifying Kv, ΔP, and operating angle.

Construction Materials

Body available in EN-JS1030 ductile iron, WCB steel, or CF8M stainless steel. Discs can be ductile iron nickel plated, CF8M, or aluminium bronze. Available seats: EPDM, NBR, Viton, Hypalon, PTFE. Stem is AISI 420 up to DN300 and AISI 431 for larger diameters.

Application Limits

For PN10, recommended velocity is up to 3 m/s, and for PN16 up to 4 m/s. In potable water, TSmax 80 °C is noted. Final seat selection should consider temperature, pressure, chemical compatibility, and potential elastomer swelling.

Operation

Accepts hand lever, gearbox, bare shaft, pneumatic or electric actuator via ISO 5211. For DN >200 or PTFE seat, gearbox/actuator is typically considered due to increased torque.
