ARI-ZEDOX® 122 Double Eccentric Butterfly Valve

The ARI-ZEDOX® 122 is a double-flanged high performance butterfly valve with double eccentricity, designed for flanged installation in industrial pipelines. The 90° movement and eccentricity reduce disc/seat friction during opening, crucial for higher pressures, steam, and thermal cycles.

Seat and Sealing

  • PTFE+C / TS: -40 to +180 °C, leakage rate A per EN 12266-1. Suitable for tight shut-off, with pressure limitations at high temperature.
  • Stainless steel / CS: -40 to +260 °C, leakage rate B standard or A optional. Choice for steam, thermal networks, and applications with higher thermal stress.

Pressure Limits

Maximum differential pressure is 16 bar standard and 25 bar optional. In the PTFE+C version, limits depend on DN, temperature, and pressure side. The metal seat CS is rated for bidirectional operation up to 25 bar in DN range 200–1200.

Actuation

Available with manual gearbox, electric rotary actuator Auma, pneumatic AIR-TORQUE, or hydraulic actuator on request. Sizing should be based on Δp, seat type, temperature, operating torque, and fail position requirement.

Applications

Steam, condensates, process water, thermal circuits, industrial gases, power plants, and large diameter isolation mains.

FAQ

When to choose over ZEDOX 120 or 121?
The 122 is double-flanged. The 120 is wafer, while the 121 is butt-weld.

Is it suitable for flow control?
It can be used for limited throttling, but requires consideration of Kvs, noise, cavitation, disc angle, and available torque.
