The S96/3 is a triple offset, wafer type butterfly valve designed for isolation in industrial lines where concentric butterfly valves are insufficient due to temperature, pressure, or sealing requirements. It covers DN50–DN1200, with flanges PN10/16/25/40 and ANSI Class 150/300. The face-to-face dimensions comply with ISO 5752 / API 609.

Triple Offset Design

The triple offset geometry removes the disc from the seat during opening, minimizing friction on sealing surfaces. This choice is relevant in applications with thermal cycles, high ΔP, or frequent on/off operations where seat wear is a critical factor.

Sealing and Materials

Due to the temperature range, the selection of seat, packing, and body material must be confirmed per service. For cryogenic or high-temperature applications, conventional elastomer liners are not used; suitable metallic or graphite seals are required, depending on pressure, fluid, and operational cycles.

When to choose over double offset?
When lower seat friction, operation at higher temperatures, or metallic sealing is required.

Is it suitable for throttling?
It can be used for throttling only after checking Kv/Cv, ΔP, noise, cavitation, and actuator torque.
