ARI-ZEDOX® 120 Double Eccentric Butterfly Valve

The ARI-ZEDOX® 120 is a high-performance wafer-type double eccentric butterfly valve designed for industrial isolation in liquid, gas, and steam lines where compact installation and controlled wear at the seat/disk interface are required. The 90° movement and eccentricity remove the disk from the seat during opening, reducing friction and operating torque.

Sealing and Temperature Ranges

Available with two primary seat options:

  • PTFE+C: -40 to +180 °C, leakage rate A per EN 12266-1. Suitable for applications requiring tight shut-off and chemical resistance.
  • Stainless steel seat: -40 to +260 °C, leakage rate B per EN 12266-1. Option for higher temperatures, steam, and demanding thermal cycles.

Pressure Limits

Differential pressure depends on DN, pressure direction, and seat. For PTFE+C, 16 bar is standard and 25 bar is optional in PN25 versions, while the metallic version PN40 reaches up to 40 bar, with restrictions based on diameter and temperature. Final selection should be verified with pressure-temperature rating and operating torque.

Actuation

Available versions include manual lever, gearbox, electric actuator, pneumatic actuator, or hydraulic actuator upon request. Actuator sizing considers Δp, temperature, seat, operation frequency, and fail-close or fail-open requirements.

Typical Applications

Used in steam distribution, thermal oils, process water, condensates, combustion gases, auxiliary energy networks, and industrial isolation lines. For flow regulation, control of Kvs, opening angle, cavitation, noise, and allowable torque is required.
