VALPES VT Electric Quarter-Turn Actuator

The VALPES VT is an electric quarter-turn actuator designed for butterfly valves, ball valves, and plug valves where higher torque is required. Torque range covers 600–2400 Nm. Standard rotation is 90°, with optional 180° or 270° versions available.

Torque and Operating Time

VT600 and VT1000 models: 250 W, 90° operating time approx. 38 s. VT1500 and VT2400: 250 W, 90° time approx. 113 s. For sizing, actuator torque should be at least 1.5 × the valve’s maximum required torque.

Construction and Feedback

Body: aluminium, C4 coating. Includes manual override, visual position indicator, anti-condensation heater, mechanical torque limiter, mechanical stops (0°/90°), and fault relay. Options: feedback potentiometer, transmitter 0–20 mA / 4–20 mA / 0–10 V, two additional limit switches, aluminium cover, marine coating.

Applications

Suitable for large isolation valves in water, seawater, HVAC, air, auxiliary gases, industrial networks, and water treatment plants. Media compatibility is determined by the valve. Actuator selection is based on torque, 90° time, voltage, duty cycle, and environmental conditions.

When to select VT over VS?
When the valve requires torque above 300 Nm and a larger ISO 5211 flange.

What is checked during maintenance?
IP68 cable glands, grounding, position switches, fault relay, mechanical stops, manual override, and torque limiter.
