TTV Valves – Technical profile of a butterfly valve and water network valve manufacturer
TTV Valves is a Spanish manufacturer of industrial butterfly valves, with a product range covering concentric, double eccentric and triple eccentric designs. The company also manufactures gate valves and special executions for water, utilities, chemical, petrochemical, mining, energy and oil & gas applications.
The range represented through Philippopoulos S.A. includes:
- wafer butterfly valves,
- lug butterfly valves,
- flanged butterfly valves,
- double flanged butterfly valves,
- grooved butterfly valves for fire protection,
- PTFE split-body butterfly valves,
- double eccentric high-performance valves,
- triple eccentric valves,
- resilient seated gate valves.
Concentric butterfly valves are used mainly for water, HVAC, cooling, compressed air, wastewater and general industrial utilities. The elastomer liner must be selected according to the fluid, temperature and chemical compatibility.
PTFE split-body butterfly valves are used where chemical resistance is required and standard elastomer liners are not suitable. Selection must consider PTFE compatibility, temperature and pressure limits.
Double eccentric butterfly valves reduce friction between disc and seat, resulting in lower torque and improved seat life compared with concentric valves in more demanding services. They are used in hydrocarbons, steam, thermal oil, seawater, LPG / LNG, fire protection and process applications, depending on material configuration.
Triple eccentric butterfly valves are used where metal seating, higher temperature, higher pressure or fire-safe behaviour is required. They must be selected according to leakage class, seat material, torque, actuator sizing and thermal cycling.
Grooved butterfly valves are used in fire protection and water systems where grooved-end connections are specified. Fire system requirements, supervision switches and approval requirements must be checked.
TTV valve selection must consider valve geometry, DN, pressure rating, body type, seat material, leakage class, actuation torque, media compatibility and relevant PED, ATEX, SIL, WRAS or Fire Safe requirements.
