Industrial valve selection depends on the operating medium, pressure rating, temperature range, differential pressure, flow conditions, end connection, sealing requirement, actuator type and maintenance strategy.
In steam and condensate systems, typical equipment includes globe valves, bellow seal valves, steam traps, pressure reducing valves, safety valves, strainers, sight glasses and condensate handling equipment.
In water, compressed air, thermal oil and process fluid networks, equipment may include ball valves, butterfly valves, check valves, filters, expansion joints, actuators, flow meters and control instruments.
