IVR Valvole – Technical profile of a ball valve and HVAC / utility valve manufacturer
IVR Valvole is an Italian manufacturer of valves and flow control components for plumbing, heating, gas, HVAC, water and industrial utility systems. The company’s product structure includes heating valves, water valves, gas valves, industrial valves, actuators, motorised valves and smart building automation components.
In the Philippopoulos S.A. range, IVR is mainly represented by two-way ball valves for water, gas, heating and general industrial applications.
The main product areas include:
- brass ball valves for water,
- certified gas ball valves,
- stainless steel ball valves,
- flanged ball valves,
- valves suitable for actuator mounting,
- heating and HVAC isolation valves.
Gas ball valves must be selected according to the applicable gas standard, connection type, pressure rating and local regulations. Certification such as EN331 is a critical technical criterion for gas service and must be verified for the exact valve model.
Water and potable water ball valves must be evaluated according to pressure, temperature, material compatibility and drinking water approvals where required. Potable water certification must be confirmed per product type, not assumed at brand level.
Stainless steel flanged ball valves are used in industrial utilities, water systems and compatible process fluids. When an ISO 5211 mounting pad is available, the valve can be automated with a pneumatic or electric actuator. Actuator sizing requires valve torque, pressure differential, seat material, safety factor and required fail position.
IVR ball valves are primarily isolation valves. Continuous throttling duty should be assessed separately, because a standard ball valve does not provide the same control behaviour as a dedicated control valve.
IVR products are relevant for HVAC engineers, plumbing engineers, maintenance teams and procurement engineers working with building services and industrial utility networks.
