Hafner Pneumatik – Technical profile of a pneumatic valve and automation component manufacturer

Hafner Pneumatik is a manufacturer of pneumatic valves and automation components for industrial machinery, process valve automation, rail vehicles, marine applications and pneumatic control systems.

The product range includes:

Hafner valves are used to control pneumatic cylinders, rotary actuators, dampers and automated process valves. The most common functions are 3/2, 5/2 and 5/3, with spring return, bistable or fail-safe configurations.

NAMUR valves are used directly on pneumatic rotary actuators for ball valves, butterfly valves and plug valves. The NAMUR interface reduces external tubing but does not remove the need for proper sizing. The engineer must check actuator type, single-acting or double-acting operation, opening/closing time, available air pressure and fail position.

Special pneumatic blocks such as quick exhaust modules, lock-up valves, block-and-vent valves and fail-safe valve assemblies are used when the pneumatic logic is more complex than simple open/close control.

Valve terminals and manifold systems are used in OEM machines and production lines where multiple pneumatic functions are controlled from one compact assembly. Selection depends on the number of valve stations, fieldbus interface, diagnostics, IP protection, maintenance access and PLC integration.

Hafner products should be specified as part of a pneumatic circuit: air preparation, valve function, flow control, actuator, feedback and safety logic must be evaluated together.
