4G Ghidini – Technical profile of a stainless steel ball valve and fitting manufacturer

4G Ghidini is an Italian manufacturer of stainless steel ball valves and fittings for food, chemical and pharmaceutical applications. The company states that it has manufactured valves and fittings since 1978 and works mainly with AISI 304L and AISI 316L stainless steel.

4G Ghidini two-way ball valves are used mainly for On/Off isolation in hygienic and industrial lines. They may be supplied with manual lever operation or with ISO 5211 mounting interface for pneumatic or electric actuation. Standard and integral PTFE sealing configurations are available depending on the valve type.

Three-way ball valves are used for flow diversion, flow selection or simple distribution duties. The selection between L-port and T-port must be based on the required flow path and valve position logic. A three-way valve should not be selected only by connection size; the P&ID function and allowable intermediate positions must be checked.

Stainless steel fittings are used to complete hygienic and process piping systems. 4G Ghidini lists fittings according to DIN 11851, clamp DIN 32676, ISO 228, ISO 7 and NPT threads. For food, pharmaceutical or chemical lines, the engineer must verify material grade, seal material, surface condition, cleanability and connection standard.
