IBOR Valves – Technical profile of a forged ball valve and industrial valve manufacturer
IBOR Valves is a Spanish manufacturer of industrial valves, with a strong focus on forged ball valves for oil & gas, petrochemical, pipeline, LNG, offshore, onshore, refinery, mining, chemical and power applications.
The main product range includes:
- floating ball valves,
- trunnion mounted ball valves,
- twin ball valves,
- high-temperature fluid ball valves,
- cryogenic ball valves,
- pig valves,
- butterfly valves,
- check valves,
- gate valves,
- globe valves.
IBOR forged ball valves are used for primary isolation in demanding process and energy systems. Floating ball valves are suitable for smaller sizes and moderate pressure differentials. Trunnion mounted ball valves are used for larger diameters or higher differential pressures, where the ball must be mechanically supported to reduce seat loading and operating torque.
Soft-seated versions are used for tight shut-off in clean fluids within the temperature limits of the seat material. Metal-seated versions are selected for higher temperatures, abrasive fluids, solids, erosion or services where polymer seats are not suitable.
Cryogenic ball valves require low-temperature materials, extended bonnet design, cavity relief, stem sealing and suitable test procedures. HTF valves must be evaluated for thermal expansion, seat behaviour and fluid compatibility at elevated temperature.
IBOR valves are selected according to service conditions, not only size and class. Required data include pressure, temperature, medium, corrosion conditions, fire-safe requirements, fugitive emissions, NACE / sour service, leakage class, actuator interface, material certificates and testing plan.
For process engineers and valve application engineers, IBOR valves should be treated as pressure-retaining and safety-relevant components in pipeline, LNG, refinery and petrochemical systems.
