Hafner Futura line FS Indicators
Hafner DA / DM indicators are used in Futura line FS filter units to monitor filter condition via pressure or differential pressure indication. Their use enables maintenance teams to determine filter element replacement based on actual pressure drop, rather than fixed service intervals.
Available Types
- DA 1: Cap for filters with pressure indicator, indication range 0…0.35 bar.
- DM 2: Differential manometer for Futura line, indication range 0…0.5 bar.
Role in Filter Maintenance
In compressed air filtration, increased differential pressure indicates filter element loading by particulates, oil, or condensate. As pressure drop rises, available downstream pressure to valves, cylinders, and pneumatic devices decreases, potentially affecting actuation times, cylinder speed, and pilot signal stability.
Selection Criteria
Selection is based on:
- Futura line FS filter type,
- requirement for simple pressure or differential indication,
- permissible network pressure drop,
- maintenance inspection frequency,
- accessibility of the filter within the panel,
- downstream equipment operational requirements.
Applications
Used in air preparation units for pneumatic panels, valve manifolds, air tools, cylinders, and production lines where filter status must be visible without disassembly. Suitable for compressed air and inert gases within the specified pressure range. Compatible with standard industrial filtration systems.
Maintenance
During inspection, record pressure indication, check filter element, condensate bowl, and drain function. After filter replacement, verify that the indicator returns to the acceptable operating range. Regular monitoring supports process reliability and reduces unplanned downtime.
