FRL Units Hafner Futura Line FS Two-Piece Assemblies

The Hafner KS2U Futura line FS series are air preparation units of the Filter-Regulator + Lubricator type. These assemblies combine a filter-regulator and lubricator in a two-piece configuration, suitable for pneumatic circuits requiring filtration, pressure regulation, and controlled lubrication. Lubrication should only be applied when specified by the circuit or tool manufacturer.

• KS2U-014/8 G: G 1/4”, flow rate 600 l/min, size FS-0.
• KS2U-114/8 G: G 1/4”, 1800 l/min, size FS-1.
• KS2U-138/8 G: G 3/8”, 2000 l/min, size FS-1.
• KS2U-238/8 G / KS2U-212/8 G: G 3/8” or G 1/2”, 3500 l/min, size FS-2.
• KS2U-434/8 G / KS2U-41/8 G: G 3/4” or G 1”, 12200 l/min, size FS-4.

Filter element: 5 micron. Outlet pressure adjustment: 0.5–8 bar. Inlet pressure: 1.5–16 bar for FS-1 to FS-4, 1.5–12 bar for mini FS-0.

Drainage Options: HA or AM

HA versions feature semi-automatic drainage. AM versions provide automatic drainage, recommended for continuous operation lines or where manual bowl inspection is impractical.

Selection Criteria

Selection is based on:

• Required flow rate and permissible pressure drop
• Thread size G 1/4” to G 1”
• Filtration requirement: 5 μm
• Downstream operating pressure
• Need for semi-automatic or automatic drainage
• Lubrication requirements of the pneumatic network

Applications and Maintenance

Installed upstream of pneumatic tools, valves, cylinders, and machine air sub-networks. Maintenance includes inspection of filter element, drainage system, oil level, lubricator adjustment, output pressure stability, and water accumulation in the bowl.
