Hafner Electromagnetic Valve Coil Connectors

Hafner connectors are used for the electrical connection of coils in electromagnetic pneumatic valves. Selection is based on coil system, DIN connector form, control voltage, and requirements for LED indication or overvoltage protection via varistor.

Series and Compatibility

• ST 16: For MA16 coils, Form C per DIN EN 175301-803, 0–250 V, up to 6 A. Available as standard or with LED + varistor for 24 V or 230 V.
• ST 22: For MA22 coils, Form B per DIN EN 175301-803 / DIN 43650, 0–250 V, up to 10 A. Versions include standard, LED + varistor, and 5000 mm cable.
• ST 30: For MA30 coils, Form A per DIN EN 175301-803, 0–250 V, up to 16 A, with LED + varistor options.
• ST 3-10 JPC L300: For MMD valves, with 300 mm cable, 0–24 V, up to 6 A.

Connector Selection

For DC PLC circuits, connectors with LED indication and varistor are preferred for visual status and suppression of inductive voltage spikes during coil deactivation. For auxiliary circuits, standard connectors may be used if external circuit protection is provided.

Application Criteria

Selection must confirm:

• Coil type: MA16, MA22, MA30, or MMD
• Connection form: A, B, or C
• Voltage: 24 V, 230 V, or 0–250 V range
• Connector current rating
• Cable direction and length
• Requirement for LED, varistor, or standard connection

Maintenance

In case of faults, check screw tightness, contacts, cable entry, sealing, oxidation, and polarity (for LED connectors). In ATEX installations, do not replace connectors or coils with non-certified components without verifying valve documentation and certification.
