Hafner Futura Line FS Air Pressure Regulators
The Hafner KPRB / KPRG / KRBE / KREG Futura line FS series consists of standalone pressure regulators for compressed air networks. These units are installed upstream of pneumatic panels, valves, cylinders, and air-operated instruments where a stable downstream pressure is required, without integrated filtration or lubrication.
Regulator Types
- KPRB: Precision regulator with continuous pressure supply. Used where highly stable pressure control is necessary, such as in instrumentation or sensitive actuators.
- KPRG: Precision regulator without continuous supply, suitable for similar layouts where intermittent regulation is acceptable.
- KRBE: General-purpose regulator with continuous pressure supply for standard pneumatic circuits.
- KREG: Standard line regulator for general pressure control in distribution lines.
Technical Data
FS-1 and FS-2 models operate with inlet pressure 0–16 bar and adjustable outlet pressure 0.5–8 bar. Miniature FS-0 versions operate with inlet 0–12 bar and outlet 0.5–8 bar.
Typical flow rates:
- KRBE-014/8 G / KREG-014/8 G: G 1/4”, 1000 l/min, FS-0
- KPRB-114/8 G / KRBE-114/8 G: G 1/4”, 2200 l/min, FS-1
- KPRG-138/8 G / KREG-138/8 G: G 3/8”, 2700 l/min, FS-1
- KPRG-212/8 G / KREG-212/8 G: G 1/2”, up to 5200 l/min, FS-2
- KREG-434/8 G / KREG-41/8 G: G 3/4” or G 1”, 14200 l/min, FS-4
Selection Criteria
Selection is based on required flow rate, permissible pressure drop, connection thread, outlet adjustment range, and the need for precision versus standard regulation. For valve manifolds with multiple actuators, sizing must consider peak air consumption.
Applications and Maintenance
Commonly used in pneumatic panels, machine lines, cylinders, air tools, and auxiliary process circuits. Maintenance includes checking outlet stability, leakage, gauge condition, adjustment mechanism, and air cleanliness upstream of the regulator.
