Clorius L3S – Three-Way Control Valve DN15–DN50

The Clorius L3S is a three-way regulating valve made from gun metal RG5, PN10, with internal threads ISO 7/1. It is used for mixing or diverting flow in circuits with fresh water, cold/hot seawater, and lubricating fluids, applicable in HVAC, district heating, industrial processes, and marine installations.

Kvs and Stroke

• DN15: Kvs 2.75 m³/h in mixing, 2.4 m³/h in diverting, stroke 3 mm.
• DN20: 5 / 4.3 m³/h, stroke 4 mm.
• DN25: 7.5 / 6.4 m³/h, stroke 4 mm.
• DN32: 12.5 / 10.7 m³/h, stroke 6 mm.
• DN40: 20 / 17.2 m³/h, stroke 6 mm.
• DN50: 30 / 25.8 m³/h, stroke 8 mm.

Port Operation

Ports are 1(AB), 2(A), and 3(B). Port 1(AB) is the common port. With shaft loading, path 1–2 closes and path 1–3 opens. Without an actuator, connection 2–1 is open and 3–1 is closed via spring.

Application Selection

In a thermostat V or normal direction electric motor, port 2(A) closes with temperature increase and 3(B) opens. With reverse motor direction, operation is inverted. The L3S is selected when three-way regulation with seawater or lubricating fluid is required and acceptable leakage of 0.5% of Kvs does not pose operational issues.

Installation

The valve can be installed with a vertical or horizontal shaft. The thermostat or actuator can be mounted above or below the body, maintaining flow direction and port numbering.
