Clorius G2FR – Reverse Acting 2-Way Control Valve DN20–DN80

The Clorius G2FR is a flanged two-way control valve designed for cooling circuits, constructed from spheroidal graphite iron EN-GJS-400-15 with a nominal pressure rating of PN25. It operates in a reverse acting / normally closed mode: it remains closed by spring force without an actuator and opens when force is applied to the stem. With a thermostat or differential pressure controller, it functions as a cooling valve, opening with temperature increase.

• DN25: Kvs 7.5 m³/h, stroke 7 mm, max Δp 8 bar.
• DN32: Kvs 12.5 m³/h, stroke 8 mm, max Δp 7 bar.
• DN40: Kvs 20 m³/h, stroke 9 mm, max Δp 6.6 bar.
• DN50: Kvs 30 m³/h, stroke 10 mm, max Δp 5.8 bar.

Applications

The G2FR is used in cooling water, heat exchangers, oil cooling, industrial cooling loops, and marine systems. Selection is based on Kvs, available differential pressure, actuator force, medium temperature, and acceptable double-seat leakage.

Installation

Up to 170°C, the valve can be installed vertically or horizontally. Above 170°C, a KS cooling unit is required, and installation should be with the actuator or thermostat facing downward. A filter is recommended before the valve when the fluid contains suspended particles.
