Clorius L2F – 2-Way Control Valve DN65–DN150

The Clorius L2F is a two-way regulating valve with flanged connections, gun metal body, and PN10 rating. It is primarily designed for regulating hot water, as well as cold or hot seawater, in industrial processes and marine installations.

Construction

• DN65, DN80, DN100, DN125, DN150.
• Body: CuSn10.
• Seats and cone: CuAl10Fe5Ni5.
• Shaft: 1.4436.
• O-ring: NBR 90.
• Gasket: Reinz-AFM34.
• Flanges according to DIN 86021 or ANSI Class 150.
• Actuator connection: G1B.

Hydraulic Characteristics

The L2F is a double-seated valve with a balanced design. The flow characteristic is nearly linear and maintained until the flow drops below approximately 4% of full flow. Seat leakage is ≤0.5% of Kvs, thus it should not be considered a zero-leakage shut-off valve.

Kvs and Stroke

• DN65: Kvs 50 m³/h, stroke 10.5 mm.
• DN80: Kvs 80 m³/h, stroke 11 mm.
• DN100: Kvs 125 m³/h, stroke 13 mm.
• DN125: Kvs 215 m³/h, stroke 18 mm.
• DN150: Kvs 310 m³/h, stroke 21 mm.

Operation with Actuator

Without an actuator, the valve remains open via a spring. With shaft loading, port 2(A) closes. It can be used with a thermostat or electronic actuator for closing upon temperature increase.

Installation

The valve can be installed with a vertical or horizontal shaft. The actuator must be protected from moisture and unnecessary vibrations. The pressure/temperature diagram is provided according to DIN 2401.
