ARI-PREMIO Electric Linear Actuator

The ARI-PREMIO is an electric thrust actuator designed for linear control and shut-off valves. It is used in process applications where a PLC, temperature controller, or BMS provides a 3-point command or an analog signal via a position controller.

Core Variants

  • 2.2 kN / 5 kN: Stroke up to 50 mm; speeds 0.38 mm/s or 0.25–1.0 mm/s depending on model.
  • 12 / 15 / 25 kN: Stroke up to 80 mm; adjustable speeds 0.20 / 0.31 / 0.38 / 0.79 mm/s.
  • Power supply: 230 V AC, 24 V AC/DC, or 100–240 V AC via switching power supply.
  • Motors: synchronous or BLDC, depending on actuator size.

Operation and Selection

Selection is based on:

  • Required valve closing force
  • Spindle stroke
  • Available panel voltage
  • Position change time
  • Control type: 3-point, 0–10 V, or 4–20 mA via PREMIO-Plus 2G / ES11

Actuators include two torque switches, stroke indication, and a manual handwheel. Mounting position is unrestricted except the motor must not hang downward.

Operating Conditions and Standards

Enclosure rating IP65 (EN 60529). Ambient temperature -20 to +70 °C (up to +60 °C for UL/CSA versions). For outdoor installation or subzero temperatures, a 15 W heater is recommended. Electrical safety per DIN EN 61010-1, overvoltage category II, pollution degree 2.

Control Accessories

Available: potentiometers, additional position switches S4/S5, RI21/RI32 for analog feedback, ES11 for analog control, PREMIO-Plus 2G, 15 W heater, integrated dTRON 316 temperature controller.

Applications

Suitable for steam, superheated water, condensate, thermal oil, glycol, and HVAC circuits. Media compatibility is determined by valve body and internals; actuator selection is based on force, stroke, and control signal.

FAQ

When is an analog positioner required?
When the valve must follow a continuous 0–10 V or 4–20 mA signal.

What is checked during maintenance?
Limit switches, torque switches, mechanical coupling, spindle bellows, wiring, cover sealing, and correct zero position.
