3-Way Ball Valve 4G Ghidini 2830, L-Port, PN250/PN400

The 2830 is a three-way ball valve with L-port configuration, designed for flow diversion between two lines (not for mixing). Full bore design. Body, ball, and stem are manufactured from AISI 316L / 1.4404. Available in sizes 1/4”–1” and pressure classes PN250 or PN400. Supplied with internal threads ISO 228 or NPT.

Seat Materials and Temperature Limits

  • PN250: Seats in INOX-filled PTFE, operating temperature -20°C to +200°C.
  • PN400: Seats in DEVLON, operating temperature -20°C to +125°C.
  • Optional Delrin POM seats available upon request; temperature limits depend on connection type and must be confirmed per order.

Standards and Automation

Valve is marked ATEX II 2 G-D T4 and equipped with top flange ISO 5211 / DIN 3337 for direct mounting of pneumatic or electric actuators. Actuator mounting bolts included. M.O.C.A. CE 1935/2004 version and manual lever available on request.

Typical Applications

Suitable for high-pressure panels, hydraulic circuits, test benches, skids, gas lines, and industrial distribution or line selection. L-port configuration is used where defined flow path from a common inlet to one of two branches is required.

Selection Considerations

Selection between PN250 and PN400 is not based solely on nominal pressure. Evaluate temperature, seat/O-ring FKM chemical compatibility, differential pressure during switching, operation frequency, and actuator torque requirements.

FAQ

Can this valve be used for flow regulation?
Not as a primary function. It is designed for isolation and flow diversion.

When to select NPT over ISO 228 threads?
NPT is used in piping systems and skids following American thread standards.
