3-Way Ball Valve 4G Ghidini 310101, L-Port, Reduced Bore

Type 310101 is a three-way ball valve with L-port configuration, reduced bore, and internal threads per ISO 228 F/F/F. Designed for flow path selection between two branches, not for mixing. The four-seat design provides sealing at all three body connections.

Construction

• Body / ball / ends / stem: AISI 316L / 1.4404.
• Ball seats: Modified Virgin PTFE.
• Stem sealing: PTFE with FKM O-ring.
• Operation: stainless steel lever.
• External finish: polished.
• Sizes: 1/2” to 2 1/2”.

Pressure and Temperature Ratings

Standard version operates from -20°C to +170°C. Pressure class depends on size: PN100 up to 1”, PN64 from 1 1/4” to 2”, PN40 at 2 1/2”. Reduced bore must be considered in pressure drop and flow velocity calculations.

Seat Options

• PTFE with glass: -20°C to +170°C.
• PTFE with carbon: -20°C to +180°C.
• PTFE with stainless filler: -20°C to +200°C.
• UHMW polyethylene: -20°C to +80°C.

Applications

Suitable for process water utility lines, chemical solutions compatible with PTFE/FKM, CIP circuits, skids, feed or return selection lines, and installations requiring manual flow diversion in limited space.

FAQ

Difference from full bore version?
Yes. The reduced bore version has a smaller flow area, resulting in higher pressure drop for the same flow rate.

Is it a control valve?
No. Intended for isolation and flow diversion with defined positions, not for proportional control.
