Ghidini 5130 4G 2-Way Ball Valve

Type 5130 is a three-piece sanitary ball valve with clamp connection to DIN 32676 Reihe C and actuator mounting flange to ISO 5211 / DIN 3337. It is intended for automated on/off isolation in clean stainless-steel process lines.

Technical Data

  • Body construction: three-piece
  • Flow passage: full bore or reduced bore
  • End connection: clamp, DIN 32676 TAB.4 Reihe C
  • Tube standard: BS/OD according to ASTM A270
  • Wetted material: AISI 316L / 1.4404
  • Sizes: 1/2” to 4”
  • Pressure classes: PN 16 / PN 25 / PN 40 / PN 64
  • Seats: virgin PTFE
  • Temperature range: -20°C to +160°C
  • Surface finish: polished
  • Actuator interface: ISO 5211 / DIN 3337

Typical Applications

The valve is used for automated isolation of clean liquids in food and beverage systems, CIP circuits, process water lines, dosing skids, utility headers and stainless-steel process installations where 316L and PTFE are compatible with the fluid.

The clamp connection allows rapid removal from the line for cleaning, inspection, seal replacement or batch changeover. It is not intended for throttling service; selection should be based on full-open/full-closed operation and the required pressure class.

Suitable Media and Operating Conditions

  • Water, clean process liquids and compatible low-viscosity fluids
  • CIP fluids within the chemical and temperature limits of 316L/PTFE
  • Sanitary or clean-service pipework requiring clamp disassembly
  • Automated isolation points connected to PLC, SCADA or local control panels

Difference from Type 5101

Type 5101 is the manual lever-operated version. Type 5130 is supplied with an actuator mounting flange for pneumatic or electric actuation. This makes it suitable for interlocked shutdowns, remote isolation, batch sequencing and automated process control.

Actuator and Seal Options

  • Antistatic device for ATEX-related applications
  • M.O.C.A. compliance according to CE 1935/2004
  • Glass-filled PTFE seats: up to +170°C
  • Carbographite-filled PTFE seats: up to +180°C
  • Stainless-steel-filled PTFE seats: up to +200°C
  • UHMWPE seats: up to +80°C

FAQ

Is the 5130 a control valve?
No. It is an isolation valve for fully open or fully closed service. For modulating flow control, a control valve or characterized valve design should be selected.
