Ghidini 1130 4G Two-Way Ball Valve

The Ghidini type 1130 is a full-bore, two-way ball valve for industrial shut-off duty in 5” process lines. The valve body is prepared with an ISO 5211 / DIN 3337 mounting flange for direct actuator installation.

Process Applications

The 1130 is used for on/off isolation in water lines, compressed air, inert gases, process liquids, CIP circuits and stainless-steel distribution systems. It is selected where a full-port valve is required to reduce pressure drop and avoid unnecessary flow restriction.

Actuation and Automation

The ISO 5211 / DIN 3337 interface allows installation of pneumatic or electric actuators for remote open/close service. Valve sizing, actuator torque and cycle frequency should be checked against line pressure, media characteristics and required safety factors.

Sealing and Maintenance Notes

The standard seat is virgin PTFE. This seat material is suitable for a broad range of clean industrial fluids, but compatibility must be verified for aggressive chemicals, high cycling duty or elevated temperature operation. Leakage assessment should consider seat wear, operating torque and maintenance access.

Standards and Certifications

The valve is available with an antistatic device according to ATEX II 2G Ex h IIC T4 Gb / II 2D Ex h IIIC T135°C Db. M.O.C.A. CE 1935/2004 compliance for food-contact applications is available on request.

Difference from Type 1030

Type 1130 covers the 5” size at PN 16 and is intended for larger process lines. Type 1030 is used for smaller sizes within the same valve family.

FAQ

Is the 1130 suitable for throttling control?
No. It is a full-bore isolation valve intended for fully open or fully closed operation.

When should AISI 316L be selected instead of AISI 304L?
AISI 316L is normally selected for more demanding corrosion conditions, chloride exposure or stricter hygienic/process requirements.
