Ghidini 2130 4G 2-Way Ball Valve

Type 2130 is a 2-way full-bore ball valve with Victaulic connection and ISO 5211 / DIN 3337 actuator mounting flange. It is used for automated flow isolation in piping systems where the line must be dismantled without threaded joints or welding.

Typical Applications

The valve is suitable for process water, CIP lines, compressed air, inert gases and liquids compatible with 316L stainless steel and PTFE. The Victaulic connection reduces disassembly time during maintenance, equipment replacement or pipework modification.

Operational Notes

  • Intended function: on/off isolation, not throttling control.
  • Full-bore design limits pressure drop compared with reduced-bore valves.
  • Seat selection must consider medium, temperature, pressure class and cleaning chemicals.
  • Leakage performance depends on correct installation, actuator sizing and seat condition.

Difference from Type 2101

Type 2101 is a manually operated version with lever handle. Type 2130 includes an ISO 5211 / DIN 3337 interface for pneumatic or electric actuators and can be integrated into PLC/SCADA-controlled isolation sequences.

Actuation and Control

  • Compatible with pneumatic quarter-turn actuators.
  • Compatible with electric quarter-turn actuators where slower operation or electrical control is required.
  • Can be fitted with limit switches, solenoid valves and position feedback devices depending on the automation package.

FAQ

Is this a control valve?
No. It is specified for on/off isolation. It should not be selected for continuous throttling service.

When is a Victaulic connection selected?
When the pipe section must be mechanically opened without cutting, welding or using flanged joints.
