One Piece
Two-way one-piece ball valves are used as on/off isolation valves in industrial liquid, gas, utility, hot water, compressed air, food-processing, chemical and high-pressure service lines. The one-piece body construction reduces external potential leakage paths, while the non-dismantlable body design should be considered in the maintenance philosophy and spare parts strategy.
Valve selection is based on design pressure, operating temperature, process medium, end connection and required shut-off tightness. The category includes full-bore and reduced-bore executions, manual operation or ISO 5211 / DIN 3337 mounting interface for pneumatic or electric actuation, with BSP, NPT, ISO 228-1 threaded connections, ANSI/DIN flanges, socket weld, butt weld, DIN 32676 clamp and Victaulic-type connections.
Body materials include stainless steels AISI 304L/316L/CF8M, carbon steel ASTM A105, low-temperature carbon steels LF2/LCC and cast iron EN-GJL-250. Seats in PTFE, glass-filled PTFE, PEEK or metal-seated configurations are selected according to temperature, pressure, chemical compatibility, fluid cleanliness and allowable leakage rate. For high-pressure applications, available executions include Class 800, Class 1500, PN63, PN400 and, depending on the valve series, ASME Class 4500 / PN760 designs.
For demanding process lines, technical features such as blowout-proof stem, anti-static device, self-relieving seat, DIB I / DIB II configuration, stem sealing injector, drain/vent plug and cavity pressure relief capability should be evaluated. In district heating, power plant, hydrothermal systems and stainless-steel process lines, correct matching of pressure class, body material, seat material and connection type is essential for safe isolation and controlled shut-off performance.
