Ball Valve 1930 Series | 4G Ghidini

Ghidini 1930 4G 2-Way Ball Valve

Type 1930 is a high-pressure, full-bore, 2-way ball valve with an ISO 5211 / DIN 3337 mounting interface for direct installation of a pneumatic or electric actuator. The valve body is manufactured from AISI 316L / 1.4404 stainless steel and is used where automated on/off isolation is required under high operating pressure.

Typical Applications and Suitable Media

The 1930 is selected for high-pressure lines requiring remote operation, interlocking, or integration into a process control system. It is intended for isolation service, not flow throttling.

  • Compressed air distribution and equipment skids
  • Industrial gases compatible with valve materials
  • High-pressure water circuits
  • Hydraulic auxiliary circuits
  • Chemical media compatible with AISI 316L and PTFE
  • OEM process units and automated utility panels

Actuation and Control

The ISO 5211 / DIN 3337 interface allows direct mounting of pneumatic rack-and-pinion actuators or electric rotary actuators. Actuator sizing should account for differential pressure, operating frequency, media condition, safety factor, and required fail position.

Sealing Options

Seat selection depends on temperature, pressure, chemical compatibility, cycling frequency, and acceptable leakage rate.

  • Glass-filled PTFE: -20°C to +170°C
  • Stainless-steel reinforced PTFE: -20°C to +200°C

Difference from Type 1901

Type 1901 is the manual lever-operated version. Type 1930 is configured with an ISO 5211 actuator platform for automated isolation in process, utility, or OEM systems.

FAQ

When should the 1930 be specified?

When high-pressure on/off isolation must be operated by a pneumatic or electric actuator and integrated into a control or safety sequence.

Is it suitable for throttling service?

No. The valve is designed for fully open or fully closed operation. For modulating control, a control valve or characterized ball design should be evaluated.
