Ghidini 1030 4G 2-Way Ball Valve

Type 1030 is a full-bore 2-way ball valve for industrial on/off isolation. It is supplied with an ISO 5211 / DIN 3337 actuator mounting flange, allowing direct assembly with pneumatic or electric actuators where automated shut-off is required.

Process Application Selection

The valve is selected for on/off isolation in water, compressed air, inert gas, chemical solution, food, beverage, and CIP lines. The 316L version is normally specified for corrosive media, washdown environments, or process areas requiring improved chemical compatibility.

As a full-bore ball valve, pressure drop is low when fully open. It is not intended for throttling service, as intermediate ball positions can increase seat wear, leakage risk, and unstable flow control.

Actuator Options

The ISO 5211 / DIN 3337 mounting interface supports direct installation of quarter-turn pneumatic or electric actuators. This configuration is used in automated isolation loops, skid-mounted process systems, remote valve stations, and interlocked safety or cleaning sequences.

Sealing Options

  • PTFE with glass: -20°C to +170°C
  • PTFE with carbographite: up to +180°C
  • PTFE with stainless steel filler: up to +200°C
  • UHMWPE: up to +80°C

Standards and Certifications

On request, the valve can be supplied with antistatic execution for ATEX II 2G Ex h IIC T4 Gb / II 2D Ex h IIIC T135°C Db. M.O.C.A. compliance to CE 1935/2004 is available for food-contact applications.

Difference from Type 1001

Type 1030 differs from Type 1001 by the integrated ISO 5211 / DIN 3337 actuator flange. This makes it suitable for automated valve packages without additional mounting adaptation.

FAQ

Is the valve suitable for flow regulation?
No. It is primarily an on/off isolation valve.

Where is 316L preferred?
In corrosive services, hygienic process areas, and applications where compatibility with cleaning chemicals or process fluids must be considered.
