ARI TEMPTROL 775 LCG – Thermostatic Opening Valve with Threaded Connection
The ARI TEMPTROL 775 LCG is a self-acting, two-way, straight-through flow valve with BSP threaded connections. It is a thermostatic opening valve: as the temperature at the sensor increases, the flow through the valve increases. Primarily used in cooling circuits or equipment protection from overheating, it operates without electrical supply or pneumatic instrumentation.
Key Technical Specifications
- Connection: G 1/2" to G 2", BSP.
- Nominal Pressure: PN16.
- Body Material: CC499K / CuSn5Zn5Pb2-C.
- Max Body Temperature: 130°C.
- Kvs: 4.0 / 6.3 / 10 / 16 / 25 / 40 m³/h.
- Stroke: 14 mm.
- Leakage Class IV according to DIN EN 1349 or DIN EN 60534-4, ≤0.01% of nominal flow.
- Max Δp: 3 bar up to DN20, 2.5 bar at DN25, 1.5 bar at DN32, 1 bar at DN40, 0.5 bar at DN50.
Construction and Sealing
The LCG version lacks a pressure balancing bellows and should be selected with consideration of available differential pressure. It includes a seat ring X20Cr13+QT, shaft 1.4571, EPDM O-rings, PTFE guide, and Centellen gasket.
Typical Applications
- Cooling water supply in heat exchangers,
- Oil cooling in engines and hydraulic assemblies,
- Protection of thermal circuits from overheating,
- HVAC and ventilation with local temperature control,
- Industrial circuits for water, air, steam, or cooling water, with material compatibility checks.
Valve Selection
Selection is based on Kvs, Δp, temperature, medium, and required operating position upon temperature increase. For higher differential pressures, consider a version with pressure balancing or alternative control arrangement. The sensor, capillary tube, and thermal actuator should not be mechanically stressed during installation.
