ARI TEMPTROL 771 LCG – Thermostatic 2-Way Valve with Threaded Connection
The ARI TEMPTROL 771 LCG is a self-acting thermostatic shut-off valve, designed for straight flow with BSP threaded connections. The LCG version lacks a pressure balancing bellows and is intended for applications where the available differential pressure remains within the selection chart limits. No electrical power, pneumatic air, or external controller is required.
Technical Specifications
- Connection: G 1/2" to G 2", BSP.
- PN16 with CC499K body for G 1/2"–G 1".
- PN40 with SA105 body for G 1/2"–G 2".
- Medium temperature: up to 130°C for type 771 LCG.
- Version 772 LCG with cooling spacer for up to 250°C.
- Kvs: 4.0–10.0 m³/h for CC499K and 3.1–26 m³/h for SA105.
- Max Δp: 9.3 to 1.5 bar, depending on size.
- Leakage class IV according to DIN EN 1349 / EN 60534-4, ≤0.01% of nominal flow.
Materials and Sealing
The CC499K option is primarily used in water circuits and low-pressure thermal fluids. The SA105 version covers higher nominal pressure and applications involving steam or hot water. Sealing options include EPDM, PTFE, graphite, and Centellen, depending on body material and operating medium.
Applications
- Water heaters and heat exchangers,
- Small steam or condensate networks,
- HVAC thermal circuits,
- Process tanks,
- Local temperature control without PLC.
Selection Points
The 771 LCG is selected when simple mechanical temperature adjustment with threaded installation is required. For higher Δp or greater position stability under varying pressures, a version with pressure balancing is considered. A filter is required before the valve, and the sensor must be fully immersed and positioned with adequate circulation.
FAQ
Is an actuator needed?
Yes, a thermal actuator with sensor and capillary tube.
Is it suitable for steam?
