Valvosider DIN Pressure Seal – Swing Check Valve

The Valvosider DIN Pressure Seal is a swing check valve designed for high-pressure pipelines, pressure classes PN100–PN420. The disc opens with flow and closes automatically when differential pressure drops or reverses. No actuator is used; operation depends on flow, installation orientation, and reverse shutoff pressure.

PN / DN Variants

  • PN100: DN50–DN600, Fig. P172
  • PN160: DN50–DN600, Fig. P173
  • PN250: DN50–DN400, Fig. P174
  • PN320: DN50–DN400, Fig. P175
  • PN420: DN50–DN400, Fig. P176

Standard connection is butt weld. Flanged ends, RTJ flanges, and ANSI connections are available on request.

Construction and Materials

Full opening design with machined disc/seat and replaceable seat. Body and cover available in 1.0619 (carbon steel) or 1.4408 (stainless steel). Seat surfaces are hard-faced; Stellite, Monel, Hastelloy, or other alloys are specified for corrosion, cavitation, or erosive media. Gasket is stainless steel reinforced with graphite.

Standards

Design per EN 12516. Face-to-face: EN 558 / EN 1298L. Pressure rating and flanges: EN 1092. Butt weld ends: EN 12627 / DIN 3239. Testing: EN 12267. Marking: EN 19. Certification: EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2. Compliance: CE / PED.

Applications

Used in high-pressure steam, boiler feedwater, condensate, thermal fluids, and compatible process liquids or gases. Selection requires verification of PN, temperature, body material, trim, connection type, and minimum flow for stable disc opening.

Options

Disc with PTFE or rubber, integral seat, by-pass, and drain plug. Soft seats are considered for reduced seat leakage, subject to temperature and chemical compatibility limits.

FAQ

When is a pressure seal selected? For high PN applications where cover sealing must withstand high internal pressure.
What information is required before ordering? PN, DN, BW/RF/RTJ connection, body material, trim, process fluid, temperature, and available flow.
