The Valvosider ASME Pressure Seal is a swing check valve designed for high-pressure pipelines. It features a pressure seal bonnet, full bore construction, and lapped disc/seat interface. The disc opens with flow and closes automatically when differential pressure drops or reverses. No actuator is required.
Standard connection is butt weld. Body materials: ASTM A216 WCB, ASTM A217 WC1/WC6/WC9, ASTM A351 CF8M.
Body and bonnet available in WCB, WC1, WC6, WC9, or CF8M. Disc/seat surfaces: A105 + hard facing, F6A + hard facing, or F316 + hard facing, depending on body material. Gasket is stainless steel reinforced with graphite. Bolting: B7, B16, or B8.
Design: BS 1868, API 594 B, API 6D. Face-to-face: ASME B16.10. Flanges: ASME B16.5. Butt weld ends: ASME B16.25. Testing: API 598, API 6D, EN 12266. Pressure rating: ASME B16.34. Marking: MSS-SP 25. Certification: EN 10204 3.1/3.2, CE / PED.
Available with PTFE or rubber disc, lever with counterweight, shock absorber, locking device, integral seat, drain plug, by-pass, flanged ends, RTJ flanges, and DIN connections.
Suitable for high-pressure steam, boiler feedwater, condensate, thermal fluids, hydrocarbons, and compatible process gases or liquids. Class selection should consider pressure-temperature rating, body material, trim, temperature, corrosion, and minimum flow for stable disc operation.
When is a pressure seal bonnet selected?
For high ASME classes where bonnet sealing must withstand high internal pressure.
When are counterweight or shock absorber required?
For large diameters, pump stations, or lines with transient conditions and risk of sudden closure.
