The Valvosider ASME is a swing check valve with bolted cover, lapped disc/seat, and available in regular or full opening designs. The disc opens by flow and closes when the differential pressure drops or reverses. No actuator is required for operation.
Available body/cover materials: WCB, LCB, WC6, C5, C12, CF8, CF8C, CF8M, CF3M. Seat/disc surfaces: F6A, F304, F321, F316, or F316L, depending on metallurgy. Optional trims include Stellite, Monel, Hastelloy, or other alloys for corrosive or erosive service.
Design per API 594 B, API 6D, ASME B16.34. Face-to-face: ASME B16.10. Flanges: ASME B16.5 up to 24", ASME B16.47 from 26". Butt-weld ends: ASME B16.25. Testing: API 598, API 6D, EN 12266.
Disc with PTFE or elastomer, lever with counterweight, shock absorber, locking device, integral seat, drain plug, bypass, BW ends, RTJ flanges, DIN connections.
Suitable for steam, condensate, process water, hydrocarbons, thermal fluids, and compatible gases. Class selection should be based on pressure-temperature rating, media, temperature, corrosion, and minimum flow for stable disc opening.
When is a shock absorber or counterweight required? For large DN, pump stations, or lines with transient phenomena.
When to select Class 1500 or 2500? When design conditions exceed the allowable limits of lower ASME classes.
