Safety Shower Combinations
This category covers combined B-Safety emergency body showers with integrated eye or eye/face wash units for process areas where immediate flushing of skin and sensitive areas is required after contact with chemicals, caustic media, dust, or hot substances. Available configurations include wall-mounted units, over-door installation, fixed eye wash assemblies, manual hand-held eye showers with one or two spray heads, versions with bowl, and eye/face wash units with protective dust covers.
Main hydraulic data for the body shower assemblies are operating pressure 1.5-3 bar, water flow 50 l/min, with available versions at 75 and 110 l/min, and 3/4" female water inlet connection. Overall height is 1625 mm, with installation height 810 mm. Projection is 630 mm for standard wall-mounted versions and 525 mm for over-door versions.
Body shower actuation is via 3/4" ball valve and 700 mm pull rod. The shower head is self-draining and incorporates flow regulation to maintain a stable spray pattern and controlled wetting of the body surface during decontamination. This supports rapid dilution and removal of hazardous media while limiting stagnant water in the discharge section.
Eye wash units use 45° spray heads, dust caps, PUSH actuator or hand lever, and flow regulation to 14 l/min at 2-5 bar or 2.5-5 bar, depending on configuration. Manual versions provide 7 l/min for a single head and 14 l/min for twin heads, with 1.5 m flexible hose and integrated backflow prevention for potable water protection. Selection should consider media exposure, required wash coverage, installation constraints, and water supply conditions.
ClassicLine and PremiumLine should be specified according to the chemical environment, cleaning requirements, and material compatibility. ClassicLine units use stainless steel and plastics with green chemically resistant coating, while PremiumLine versions are manufactured in polished stainless steel. Referenced standards include EN 15154-1/-2/-5, ANSI Z358.1, DIN 1988, EN 1717, DIN-DVGW, and safety marking per EN ISO 7010 / ASR A1.3.
