Emergency shower wall mounted, with eye/face wash unit with bowl & lid - ClassicLine - BR 868 085 | B-Safety

B-Safety BR 868 085 ClassicLine

Wall-mounted emergency safety shower and combined eye/face wash unit with bowl and hinged cover. Designed for installation in laboratories, chemical mixing areas, storage facilities, and container filling stations where both body and eye/face decontamination are required from a single wall-mounted assembly.

Technical Data

  • Type: ClassicLine, wall-mounted configuration
  • Materials: Stainless steel piping and flanges, plastic components
  • Total height: 1625 mm
  • Body shower arm projection: 630 mm
  • Eye/face wash installation height: 810 mm ±100 mm
  • Water inlet: ¾” female, top/bottom connection, suitable for circulation line integration
  • Operating pressure: 1.5–3 bar
  • Body shower flow: 50 l/min (optional 75 or 110 l/min variants)
  • Bowl outlet: 1 ½” male

Construction and Operation

All wetted metallic parts (piping, flanges, arm) are stainless steel with green chemical-resistant powder coating. The ¾” body shower ball valve is dezincification-resistant brass, actuated by a 700 mm pull rod. The shower head is self-draining plastic with integrated 50 l/min flow regulator.

Eye/Face Wash Unit with Cover

Unit comprises ABS bowl, body, and hinged cover (UV and impact resistant). The cover serves as both contamination shield and activation lever; flow initiates upon lowering. Includes 3/8” valve, chrome-plated brass spray regulators, and 3/8” flow control valve for spray height and flow adjustment.

Standards and Certifications

Complies with EN 15154-1:2006, EN 15154-2:2006, EN 15154-5:2019, ANSI Z358.1-2014. Additional references: DIN 1988, EN 1717, DIN-DVGW/DVGW, GOST-R.

Maintenance

Routine inspection of flow rate, dynamic pressure, valve tightness, cover actuation, spray regulator cleanliness, bowl condition, and unobstructed 1 ½” drainage is required.

Applications and Media

  • Suitable for potable water and decontamination media
  • Recommended for chemical processing, laboratories, and hazardous material handling zones
  • Variants available for increased flow rates and specific installation heights

Product description

The B-SAFETY emergency showers from the ClassicLine series are made from high-quality materials and are suitable for use in laboratories and research as well as for rough industrial use. The green chemical-resistant polyester powder coating from B-SAFETY has proven itself in many aggressive environments and is resistant to many acids and alkalis.

The body emergency showers are equipped with the B-SAFETY high-performance shower head, which not only meets the requirements of ANSI Z358.1 and DIN EN 15154, but is also self-draining, largely calcification- and maintenance-free, and very robust and corrosion-resistant. The limited, even and, above all, soft water jet is optimized for rinsing off chemicals on the skin.
