OMC YT3400R – Smart Positioner for Rotary Actuators

The OMC YT3400R is a digital electro-pneumatic positioner designed for double-acting rotary pneumatic actuators. It accepts a 4–20 mA DC control signal and modulates output air pressure to the actuator, ensuring valve position tracks the PLC/DCS setpoint. The product is classified as flameproof type with protection rating II 2 G D Ex d IIC T5–T6 per ATEX 2014/34/EU.

Control Functionality

YT3400R supports auto calibration, PID tuning, alarms, HART, standard linear / quick open / equal percentage and custom 16-point characterization. Additional features: tight shut-close / shut-open, split range 4–12 mA or 12–20 mA, A/M switch, and variable orifice for hunting reduction on small-volume actuators.

Applications

Used on butterfly, ball, and plug valves with rack & pinion, scotch yoke, or compound rotary actuators. Typical process media: steam, hot water, chilled water, condensate, air, and auxiliary industrial utilities. The process medium does not pass through the positioner; only instrument air is handled.
