With the EUROBOX plastic limit switch box, we create space for long cylindrical sensors or sensors that are equipped with an M12 cable socket. We have two lengths available and can install sensors up to a length of 60 or 90mm.

Eurotec EuroBox Limit Switch Boxes
EuroBox is a terminal switch enclosure designed for position feedback on valves equipped with pneumatic rotary actuators. It is intended for open/closed position signaling to PLC, DCS, or automation panels, and is not in contact with process media.
Construction and Mounting
- Body: PA6 polyamide; cover: polycarbonate; base/bridge: stainless steel 1.4301
- Mounting on actuators per VDI/VDE 3845
- Mounting patterns: 80×30 mm, 130×30 mm; optional 50×25 mm
- Shaft heights: 20, 30, 40, 50 mm
- Ingress protection: IP67 (DIN EN 60529)
- Ambient temperature: -25 °C to +80 °C
- Cable gland: M20×1.5 for cable Ø6–12 mm
EPK / EPL Variants
EuroBox is selected when increased internal space is required compared to standard compact terminal boxes. EPK accepts cylindrical sensors up to 60 mm; EPL accommodates longer sensors. Selection is based on part number and datasheet confirmation.
Switch and Signal Options
Depending on configuration, the enclosure can accept:
- 1–4 mechanical microswitches or V3 inductive sensors
- 1–3 slot sensors
- 1 dual sensor
- 1 potentiometer
- 1–2 pneumatic switches
Industrial Applications
Suitable for on/off butterfly and ball valves in water, air, steam, auxiliary chemical supply, and HVAC networks. Does not define valve PN/Class; selection is based on environment, sensor type and length, output signal, wiring, and actuator compatibility.
Maintenance
For outdoor installations, a venting element is recommended to prevent condensation. Lid and shaft seals should be inspected and replaced when worn, at least every 5 years.
Standards
EuroBox EPK/EPL series is included in the declaration of conformity for 2014/30/EU, 2014/35/EU, RoHS, and EN 60947-5-2. Functional safety applications reference IEC 61508 / FMEDA assessment.
