Eurotec i-box is a compact limit switch box designed for position feedback on pneumatic rotary actuators. It is intended for small actuators and installations with restricted space, allowing direct mounting on 80×30 mm drilling patterns and shaft heights of 20 or 30 mm without intermediate mounting brackets.
i-box is available with mechanical microswitches or inductive sensors. Mechanical versions support up to 2 SPDT NO/NC contacts, with silver or gold contacts depending on load current and PLC input type. Typical electrical ratings: 12–250 V AC/DC, 0.1–10 A for silver contacts; 5–250 V AC/DC, 0.01–0.1 A for gold contacts.
Inductive feedback versions are available in 2-wire and 3-wire configurations, typically 10–30 V DC or 5–60 V DC, depending on sensor type (IFM, Pepperl+Fuchs, Turck).
The unit does not contact process media and is not selected by valve PN or Class. Selection is based on sensor type, voltage, PLC input, installation space, wiring, and actuator shaft compatibility.
i-box IP / IV series is covered by the declaration of conformity for EMC 2014/30/EU, LVD 2014/35/EU, RoHS, and EN IEC 60947-5-2. FMEDA per IEC 61508 is referenced for functional safety applications.
When is i-box selected over EuroBox or Flex Box?
When the actuator is small and available installation space is limited.
Is it suitable for ATEX?
This version is for standard range, not for Ex zones.
The i-box is the smallest plastic limit switch box in our range. It is particularly suitable for confined system areas with little space and for installation on small drives with a drilling pattern of 80x30mm with a shaft height of 20 or 30mm. Thanks to its sophisticated fastening system, it can be mounted on your drive quickly and easily, without the need for a mounting bridge.
