Comeval UNIFLOW BV23MD 3-Way Ball Valve

The BV23MD is a three-way floating ball valve with threaded ends and direct actuator mounting pad. Designed for rapid 90° flow diversion in liquid or gas networks, it is not intended for throttling or continuous intermediate position operation.

Construction and Materials

  • Body, end caps, and ball: stainless steel CF8M.
  • Stem: SS316.
  • Seats: PTFE.
  • Thrust washer: RPTFE.
  • O-ring: Viton / FKM.
  • Stem packing and gaskets: PTFE.
  • SS304 handle with locking device.

Pressure, Temperature, and Connections

Rated pressure: PN63. Threaded ends per DIN 259 / ISO 228 Class A. NPT and BSPT options available per drawing. Pressure-temperature curve: PS 63 bar up to 40°C, derating to PS 5 bar at 180°C. Minimum temperature: -30°C (see datasheet).

L-Port / T-Port Operation

Technical drawings specify available flow plans for L and T port configurations.
L-port: used for diverting a common line to one of two branches. T-port: for distribution or interconnection of three lines. Prior to automation, verify ball position, rotation direction, and limit switch indication.

Automation

Top mounting pad ISO 5211 allows direct mounting of pneumatic or electric actuators without additional brackets. Typical operating torques: 8.6 to 58 Nm. Minimum actuator safety factor: 30%.

Applications

Suitable for water, HVAC, lubrication, compressed air, inert gases, and auxiliary process circuits, provided media compatibility with CF8M, PTFE, and FKM. Install upstream filtration if particulate contamination may damage seat surfaces.
